Lower School

Nurturing the Whole Child

In Lower School, our number one goal is to make each child feel known and loved. Our nurturing and highly dedicated faculty focus on developing every child’s creativity, confidence, social awareness, and independent thinking.

We are committed to fostering all aspects of the whole child; therefore, we address the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student. One of the ways we do this is by ensuring that the students are active participants in their own learning journey and have a voice throughout their educational experience at All Saints.

By modeling and focusing on our core values of honor, truth, wisdom, faith, family and service in all areas of our campus, we strive to build a foundation for students that will guide them not only through their time at All Saints but throughout their college years and beyond.

The Lower School Curriculum

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m, our Lower School curriculum combines traditional classroom instruction with weekly enrichment sessions to help our students learn the material and the skills they need for further academic success. Students have the opportunity to learn in the classroom and through authentic experiences in each of our learning enrichments:

  • The Collaboratory
  • Oasis 4D TinkerLab
  • Learning Farm
  • Science Explorium
  • Faith Formation
  • Chapel
  • Spanish
  • Art
  • Music
  • P.E.
  • Recess

Learning Villages

Teachers here have homes in our Learning Villages, not just classrooms, because research shows that children learn best in a stimulating and supportive environment where they feel a strong sense of belonging. Our custom built Learning Villages create a community atmosphere with a family-centered focus that is central to who we are here at All Saints.

Learning Farm

At the Learning Farm, the largest on-campus farm in Texas, students engage in hands-on entrepreneurial experiences by harvesting greens and selling eggs. This unique environment fosters teamwork, stewardship, empathy, and real-world problem solving. With 20 raised plots and chickens that lay dozens of eggs, students learn not only science and math, but also sustainability and entrepreneurship, making their lessons come to life through daily, authentic experiences.

The Oasis

The Oasis 4-D Tinker Lab sparks creativity in our students, empowering them to discover, design, develop, and deliver their ideas. In this innovative space, students cultivate a 'maker mindset' as they identify problems and prototype real-world solutions. From coding with Bee-Bot robots to creating their own Box-a-saurus and building replicas of global landmarks, the Oasis turns imagination into action!

The Explorium

In the Mewbourne Science Explorium, students collaborate to ask questions, challenge ideas, and explore the world through immersive, hands-on learning. This unique monolithic dome serves as a science lab with six panoramic displays, enhancing the experience. Students start in the prep chamber to discuss objectives and outcomes, then reflect on their discoveries at the end, making it an inspiring space for exploration.

The Collaboratory

The Collaboratory is a dynamic learning hub that adapts to the needs of students. More than just a 21st-century library, it’s a space where creativity thrives, from the green screen stage to maker cubbies to writable walls. With over 11,000 books, digital media literacy tools, and flexible furniture, the Collaboratory transforms for every lesson. Students explore, create, and collaborate in an environment that supports reading, innovation, and hands-on learning.
